The Jhadoo Museum
Branding | Strategy
A museum is a non-profit permanent institution that exhibits the tangible and intangible heritage of humanity and its environment for the purpose of education, study and enjoyment. The brief was to create a visual language that unites everyone through the humble Jhadoo.
The project started out with a workshop tailored to find key strategies to apply to the brand. We identified core target audiences, helped define the brand personality and collaborated on how to tackle the brand positioning.
Brand Voice and Narrative
The logo captures how the Jhadoo leaves marks on the soil. It evokes a sense of heritage, culture and to re-connect the community with the individual and acknowledges and celebrates the seemingly mundane object. It reflects the essence of conserving the Jhadoo community across the states. The traditional shape and appearance of this logo make it great for communicating across the board.
We also created a more secondary logos for use on social media or other miscellaneous platforms.
The Jhadoo mark is the manifestation of the interconnected world of Jhadoo across the states. They come together to reveal specific patterns and insights. From the use of multiple brush strokes signifying the breadth of re-connection, to one highlighting a single individual. Everything and everyone is interconnected through Jhadoo.
Design for Social Media
The launch on Instagram was designed to gradually roll out the new identity over a week.
The visual language for social media posts underwent a refresh to align with the brand. The new guidelines extended across a range of posts from serious, informative ones to the more playful, relatable posts.
